New Leeds United signing Glen Kamara has responded when asked by Finnish outlet HS if Daniel Farke can guide the Whites to promotion from the Championship at the first attempt – and he is very hopeful.
Leeds have endured a tricky start to life back in the Championship. A month of drama, overshadowed by ongoings in the transfer window. Now, with the threat of sales gone, Leeds can focus on the matches.
Nine new faces have come in, while plenty have left. Kamara is one of three central midfield additions, while Archie Gray has been promoted to the starting XI. Leeds have managed just one win from five.

But it does feel like Farke now has the time to give this Leeds squad, when it was previously just about getting through the transfer window. He needs the new-look Leeds side to gel as quickly as possible.
Promotion? Well, it is arguably our best chance given the parachute payments – but it has been chaos. Kamara was asked if we can gain promotion. He says that there is certainly a chance, and he is hopeful.
“Hopefully we could get back up right away. We have a good head coach, a good team and good fans to support us,’ Kamara told HS, while on Finland duty ahead of games against Kazakhastan and Denmark.
Kamara responds when asked if Farke can get Leeds promoted

Can Leeds get promoted? Without a doubt. On paper, the Whites have some of the Championship’s best players. A manager who has won it twice. But, this is Leeds. We do not do things as expected.
Leeds need to get their house in order. Players need to be fully committed, something which has not been the case during the summer. When everyone is pulling in the right direction, we can go up.
Until then, it remains to be seen. But what is crucial is that Farke gets his players in – those that are not on international duty, like £6m Kamara – and immediately gets us gelling. Then, Leeds can start to win.
