Leif Davis says he always felt he was making the right decision leaving Leeds United for Ipswich Town last year.
Davis was speaking in an interview with TWTD following Ipswich’s excellent start to the Championship campaign in which they currently sit nine points ahead of Leeds.
The 23-year-old had very much been on the periphery at Leeds when he moved on, having spent the previous season on loan at Bournemouth, where game time was sporadic.

However, Davis had been given an opportunity to stake a claim for a place in pre-season, as he was just one of two recognised left-backs at the club, alongside Junior Firpo.
Firpo then picked up an injury in the first friendly of the summer but that did not stop Davis from deciding to leave Leeds for Ipswich, who at the time were two divisions below.
Davis happy with decision to leave Leeds for Ipswich
Davis quickly went onto establish himself as a key player following his move from Leeds, scoring three goals and providing 14 assists from left-back as Ipswich won automatic promotion.
Despite moving up a division, Davis has continued where he left off at the start of the new campaign and says he always knew Ipswich was the right move for him.

He said: “I always felt confident that I was making the right move, even if it was two leagues down at the time I joined. I was 100 per cent right to make the move and I’ve never regretted it. I’m not just happy here, I’m very grateful to the club for bringing me here and I will always do whatever I can for them.”
While left-back has remained an issue in the last 12 months, and regardless of his good form, this was clearly a move that suited all parties.
Davis wasn’t overly close to forcing his way into Jesse Marsch’s plans and regular game time has clearly provided him with the platform he needed to shine.
