Neil Redfearn and Luciano Becchio have reacted on Twitter during and after Leeds United beat Millwall away from home to win at The Den – thanks to a goal from Georginio Rutter, and a Joel Piroe brace.

A comfortable 3-0 scoreline perhaps did not share the full story – but it was without doubt, the best us Leeds fans have seen since the arrival of Daniel Farke as manager. Millwall did have their chances.

They started well in the first few minutes. But on 15 minutes, Georginio Rutter broke and found Willy Gnonto. Gnonto’s pass inside was dummied by Joel Piroe who continued his run, and found by Rutter.

One touch to control, and a neat sliding finish. A gorgeous goal, and a sign that the Leeds attackers are now finding a relationship in the final third. Becchio, a modern-day Leeds legend, responded to the goal.

The game was not done there, though. Millwall came out fighting at the start of the second half and Leeds had to rely on our back four. But, the game finished with a second consecutive clean sheet.

Not only that, but it read 3-0 to Leeds. Piroe got his second on the break. Dan James countering this time, feeding Rutter who played it back to him. He should have scored, but he found Piroe to tap in.

Then, the best finish of the lot. Another quick counter, James’ pass deflected into Rutter and a top left-footed finish into the roof of the net. Ex-Leeds boss Redfearn was delighted with the football on show.
