Robin Koch scored the winner for Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday night as the Germans edged past Aberdeen to win 2-1 – and German media have described the on-loan Leeds defender as “impeccable”.
Koch, 27, left Leeds on loan in the summer as one of eight senior players to use the relegation release clauses to get himself out of Elland Road. Along with the likes of Marc Roca, Jack Harrison and others.
He went to Frankfurt with a view to breaking his way back into Germany’s National Team. The difference with Koch, is that his contract at Leeds ends next summer. Koch has basically ended his time with us.

A brilliant display from Koch, who continues to prove that his choice in club in the form of Frankfurt was the right one. While there has been criticism for players leaving on loan – you can understand Koch.
He has always been driven by his desire to play for the German National Team and with Euro 2024 on the horizon, his form for Frankfurt is certainly going to make Germany think. Another excellent outing.
