Mateusz Klich has replied to a Leeds United fan on his Instagram story during a Q&A session by saying he will return to Leeds – but only to visit. The Pole was asked if he would rejoin the club, days after the Whites suffered relegation.
Klich, 32, seems to have got out of Leeds just at the right time, before everything begin to go to pot. Leaving Leeds in January, he has since impressed for Wayne Rooney’s DC United. He has had a hand in six goals in 17 matches.
Meanwhile, Leeds have gone down. The Whites have had three more managers in the dugout since his exit, and the club is in a state of limbo. Andrea Radrizzani has even offered to use Elland Road in his purchase of Sampdoria.
So, Leeds find themselves back in the second tier – undoing all of the good work that had been done in Radrizzani’s era. Klich, a symbol of the modern Leeds, was asked by a fan if he would return to Elland Road. He responded.

Since leaving Leeds, Klich has said that he has told the board he will return to take his overall tally of Leeds outings to the magic 200 mark – having left with 195 under his belt. In that time, he had a hand in a massive 47 goals.
His form at DC has continued. Showing what Leeds have been missing, he is constantly creating chances for his new side, albeit in a lesser league. Oh, how Leeds could do with Klich back at Elland Road in the Championship.
Leeds have plenty to get right. Radrizzani has simply got to leave, and in doing that – the 49ers need to replace Victor Orta with the right man and pick the right manager to get us back up. Failure to do so, and we’re in the abyss.
