Stuart Dallas has not played for Leeds United for more than a year after a double leg break against Manchester City in April 2022, but Mateusz Klich still believes he is our best player – responding to a fan on his Instagram story.
Dallas, 32, is nearing a return to fitness with the hope being that he is fit to play in pre-season ahead of the 2023-24 season. The Northern Ireland star still has a year left on his Leeds deal, and will be hopeful to return very soon.
Of course, the 56-time Northern Ireland star was a key member of the Leeds side that helped the Whites gain a return to the Premier League in 2019-20. He has now been at Leeds for eight years, clocking up a huge 265 games.
There is no doubt that Dallas is one of our best players if he can return to the form that saw him score eight goals in our first season back in the Premier League. But who knows if he will be the same player. Klich says he is our best.

Mateusz Klich believes Stuart Dallas is Leeds United’s best player
Is he? Rodrigo scored a wonderful 15 goals in all competitions. We boast the United States captain in Tyler Adams and one of the most-exciting Italian talents in Willy Gnonto. Jack Harrison had a hand in 16 goals during the season.
But as said, if Dallas can be anything like he was during Marcelo Bielsa’s best year in charge then why not. Hopefully for Leeds, he gets back to the Dallas that scored a brace in the shock 2-1 win over Manchester City at The Etihad.
Whether he does or not, is another question. Leeds have certainly missed him throughout the last 12 months, Jesse Marsch perhaps might have done a bit better had he had Dallas to choose from. Fingers crossed he is back soon.
