Leeds United seemingly face a battle to keep Finley Gorman at Elland Road, with Manchester United and Manchester City interested in signing the teenager.
That is according to a report from the Daily Mail, which suggests that the 14-year-old is on the radar of a number of other clubs.
Finley Gorman has certainly established as a name to keep an eye out for. In fact, he marked his debut in the under-18 Premier League by scoring twice in a 6-1 win over Stoke City. He also set up another.
Leeds have done some superb work when recruiting talented young players from other clubs in recent years. It is one of the indisputable success stories from Victor Orta’s time at the club.

However, it seems that one of their best talents is attracting serious attention from elsewhere. The Daily Mail reports that both Manchester United and Manchester City both have their eye on Gorman. And they are not the only sides monitoring his progress.
Of course, it is too soon to confidently say what the future holds for Gorman. But it is frightening that he is already making an impact at under-18 level. He will surely hope to feature a few more times over the course of the campaign.
Obviously, joining Manchester City will be particularly tempting for any young talent. But Leeds have made sure that the pathway is open for plenty of youngsters.
And Daniel Farke is someone who is not afraid to put his faith in potential prospects. It is a bit soon for him to really have Gorman on his radar. But if Farke does have a really successful spell over a long period, then perhaps he will start to take a real interest in Gorman’s pathway.
That is, as long as Leeds can stave off interest.
