Luton Town star Carlton Morris makes Premier League claim about Leeds United after 1-1 draw

The draw at Luton Town on Saturday afternoon has left Leeds United outside of the automatic promotion places and perhaps for the first time, the realisation about failing to go up is hitting home.

Leeds fans are growing disgruntled on social media. Whether it be criticising players such as struggling Manor Solomon, or calling for a new manager even with six games left – Leeds fans are really unhappy.

Understandably. Last season’s failure to go up, twinned with the knowledge that Leeds will be forced to sell this summer and Leeds’ worrying finances being released means promotion is an absolute must.

But three draws in a row and one win in six has put that in jeopardy with Leeds only drawing 1-1 against Luton on Saturday. However, one Luton player believe Leeds brought a Premier League energy yesterday.

Carlton Morris shares what he noticed in 1-1 draw vs Leeds

Leeds’ chances of achieving automatic promotion are fading quickly and will now need to secure at least four wins in the next six to stand any kind of chance of leapfrogging Sheffield United and Burnley.

However, Luton’s Carlton Morris delivered his verdict on Leeds after playing against Daniel Farke’s men and he said that The Whites brought a “Premier League energy” to Kenilworth Road on Saturday.

“Yeah, credit to Leeds that was a tough, tough game. It had Premier League energy to it, to be honest. So it was a good point at home, the lads left it all out there. Riding momentum at the moment,” he said.

Do Leeds stand any chance of Premier League promotion, now?

Of course, Leeds remain right in the hunt to go up. It could have been a whole lot worse on the weekend, had Sheffield United not been surprisingly beaten by Oxford United. Two points separate the three clubs.

There are factors that play into Leeds’ hands and the crucial one is, Burnley face Sheffield United at Turf Moor on April 21. A huge game, that could see both sides drop points or one of the two suffer defeat.

Leeds have got to take advantage and to do that, they have to stay in touch with both Burnley and the Blades until the 21st and hope that they can surge above either side when they do eventually drop points.
