Lucas Radebe has posted on Twitter after Leeds United suffered a massive 6-1 loss to Liverpool on Monday night and remains confident that his old club will remain in the Premier League – urging the club to improve defensively.

Leeds have suffered three defeats in their last four games – failing to keep a clean sheet since Javi Gracia’s first game in charge, a 1-0 win over Southampton. Now, Leeds have lost two games in a row, conceding 11 goals.

Now, it is a hugely important period. Ahead of games against the likes of Manchester City, West Ham away, Newcastle and then Tottenham on the final day of the season – Leeds face Fulham, Leicester and Bournemouth.

Fulham will be without Aleksandar Mitrovic and Dan James. Leicester at home, with the Foxes in 19th and then Bournemouth are in form – but a side Leeds beat at Elland Road. Three massive games in our 2022-23 season.

Leeds legend Radebe took to Twitter on Tuesday after the 6-1 loss to Liverpool. He told Leeds fans that he is still confident that the club will be in the Premier League at the end of the season – but the defence needs improving.

Leeds need five points from their next three games at the very minimum. Starting with a trip to Fulham on the weekend. It is a good time to play Marco Silva’s side who are without Mitrovic, and with little to play for right now.

But of course, Fulham come into the game having beaten Everton 3-1 away last time out. Then, the massive game that is Leicester at the King Power. A game that is a six-pointer in the truest sense of the word. Could be a decider.

Bournemouth away, given the form of the Cherries of late, will be difficult. But by the time Leeds play Bournemouth, Gary O’Neil’s side might have lost a couple of matches. So, plenty to go off and plenty could happen.
