Lucas Radebe has taken to Twitter to discuss Leeds United’s relegation, Andrea Radrizzani‘s exit and has sent a message to The 49ers ahead of their reportedly imminent takeover – with the players set to return on Sunday.

The club is still very much in limbo. Leeds have appointed a short-term replacement for Victor Orta and The 49ers have an agreement in place with Radrizzani. But the EFL are yet to ratify a takeover, and a manager not confirmed.

There are rumours to suggest that an EFL decision is coming soon and once that occurs, Daniel Farke will come in as the club’s new manager. But that is yet to happen and Leeds fans remain in the dark over the club’s future.

Now, Leeds legend Radebe has taken to Twitter to discuss his old club. He spoke about relegation, sent his best wishes to Radrizzani who has taken over Sampdoria – and had a message for The 49ers, urging them to back us.

The 49ers have got a lot to do. Alongside new manager Farke and sporting director Hammond, the club have got to quickly get the players out of the door that they want gone – or who want to go. Then, move quickly to replace him.

To do that, Leeds, the 49ers, Hammond and Farke need the EFL to make their move as soon as possible. If able to, today. Then, it gives Farke the chance to be in place for Sunday’s return to pre-season. Hammond can get to work.

It will allow Farke, Hammond, The 49ers and Angus Kinnear to come together and sort out which players can go, and which players can come in. Then, we start to pay catch-up on the likes of Leicester, before August 6’s opener.
