Clinton Morrison says Georginio Rutter is now looking like a real ‘handful’ for Leeds United in the Championship.
Morrison was speaking to Sky Sports News after Leeds’ 3-0 win at Millwall in which he claimed Rutter and the rest of Daniel Farke’s attacking options should mean they are very much in the promotion race.
After a difficult first few months at Leeds following his arrival from Hoffenheim in January, Rutter has grown from strength to strength at the start of this season.

He netted his first goal for the club in a 4-3 win at Ipswich Town last month before producing arguably his best display in a white shirt against Millwall on Sunday.
Rutter provided a superb assist for Joel Piroe’s opening goal at the Den before then rounding off the scoring himself with an emphatic finish into the top of the net.
Morrison says Rutter now looks a ‘handful’ for Leeds
Sky Sports pundit Morrison believes that Rutter is looking like a real menace for Championship defences to deal with, as well as praising the way he took his goal at Millwall.
He said: “Very good finish (against Millwall). He struggled in the Premier League. But he looks like a handful in the Championship and he is getting his goals. The players Leeds have got going forward. They should be there or thereabouts (for promotion).”

Rutter has all the attributes required to be a top striker at this level with his pace and dribbling ability now really beginning to cause defence’s problems.
With two goals in his last three matches, he is now also beginning to find the net on a consistent basis and the more confident he gets, the better it will be for Leeds.
Perhaps the big area in which he could work is his movement off the ball when teams, like Sheffield Wednesday, sit really deep and restrict the space in which he can operate in.
