Reports from 90Min and The Times claim that Liverpool have now turned to Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams this summer after missing out on both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia – but Bournemouth are leading the race.
Adams, 24, continues to be touted with a summer exit. He came within an inch of joining Chelsea, only for reports to suggest a medical at Stamford Bridge showed signs he could be out for another four months – as per a Mail article.
But that has not deterred other clubs. Fabrizio Romano reported on Monday evening that Bournemouth had actually activated his £20m release clause. It came moments after The Times touted Liverpool as a possible suitor for him.
It comes after Liverpool missed out to their Sunday opponents Chelsea in pursuit of both Caicedo – who joins the Blues for a whopping £115m. Also, Lavia, from Southampton. 90Min followed that up by saying Liverpool are keen.

Leeds still hope they can retain the services of Adams, according to Graham Smyth on the Yorkshire Evening Post website. But ultimately, Leeds have little hope of keeping a player that has a release clause, below his actual worth.
Adams showed last season when fit, and in Qatar with USA, that he is a player worth far more than £20m. Perhaps, even double that figure. But relegation has opened up a £20m exit clause and it is of course, interesting some sides.
Liverpool would be a wonderful move for him. A chance to play in Europe, for one of the world’s biggest clubs. The Reds have lost Fabinho, James Milner and Jordan Henderson, meaning they are lacking a player like Adams, too.
