Ethan Ampadu could not make a massive impact at Chelsea, but the Wales international is doing extremely well at Leeds United at the moment.

Since joining Leeds United from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, Ethan Ampadu has established himself as a key figure in manager Daniel Farke’s side.

Ampadu is a versatile player who can operate in defence and in defensive midfield.

The 23-year-old has become a regular in the Leeds defensive midfield under Farke.

Ethan Ampadu impresses for Leeds United vs Watford

And, like in previous matches, Ampadu did his job quietly and efficiently in the middle of the park against Watford at Elland Road in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

While Joel Piroe and Georginio Rutter stole the headlines after Leeds beat Watford 3-0, we cannot ignore Ampadu’s performance at all.

The Wales international imposed himself in the middle of the park, shielded the defence well, and was a force to be reckoned with.

Praise for Ethan Ampadu

Leeds Live gave Ampadu 7 out of 10 and described his performance as “quietly brilliant”.

Leeds defender Liam Cooper was impressed with Ampadu.

As you can see below, Cooper thinks that the former Chelsea midfielder is a “Rolls Royce”.

Ethan Ampadu is only 23 now, and we believe that he will get better in the coming years.

During his time at Chelsea, the midfielder was sent out on loan to various clubs.

That can be disruptive for any footballer, especially one who is young and still developing.

Leeds are a big club, and that Ampadu is now a regular in the first team shows his quality and how highly he is rated at Elland Road.

The Whites are aiming to win promotion back to the Premier League.
