Mateo Joseph continued his wonderful form for Leeds Unitedโs U21 side as they strengthened their place at the top of PL2โs second tier โ and Joseph earned praise from Leeds teammates Luis Sinisterra and Archie Gray on Instagram.
Following relegation last year from the top tier, Skubala has been targeted with taking the second string straight back up. He has made a wonderful start as gaffer, with eight of the 21โs 20 league games already being played.
Leeds have dropped four points from a possible 24 so far, earning another win on Saturday. Travelling north to take on Middlesbrough, Leeds fielded a strong side including Darko Gyabi, Cody Drameh, Sonny Perkins and Willy Gnonto.
But it was Joseph, who wore the captainโs armband, that stole the show. The young Spaniard scored a hat-trick as Leeds dispatched of their Teesside opponents. He took to Instagram to share his delight at another three goals.

Indeed, Joseph took his tally for the season to 12 goals in just 10 games for the 21โs. It comes, after managing only one goal in seven games for the reserves last season. It appears Joseph has used the pre-season at Leeds wisely.
The Spanish ace has been promoted to first-team training on occasion. While he is yet to be given a call-up to the squad under Jesse Marsch, the gaffer will certainly be taking note. He also got the assist for Sean McGurkโs goal.
What is interesting from the win on Saturday, is that Italy international Gnonto featured once again. However, he only played 45 minutes and that might mean he is in the squad on Sunday to take on Fulham. A huge game for Marsch.
But Josephโs form is clearly impressing his Leeds teammates, including Sinisterra and Gray. They were among a handful of Leeds players to applaud Joseph as he continues to shine in front of goal. Sinisterra described him as a โkillerโ.
