Leeds United wonderkid Willy Gnonto has told Corriere Della Sera that Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has caught his eye – picking the England superstar as the player to have impressed him most in the Premier League.
Gnonto, 19, has been superb at Leeds. Joining the club in the summer, he has become a crucial part of a Leeds side that currently sit 14th place in the Premier League table. The Italy star has had a hand in seven goals in 20 games.
The Italian has been attracting attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs over the last few weeks. As he moulds his game in England’s top tier, there is no doubt that he will be casting his eye on other players that play in his role.
Rashford, right now, is probably one of the best in the world along with the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr. Asked for the Premier League player that has impressed him most since his move to Leeds, he picked Rashford.

There is no doubt, putting rivalry aside, that Rashford has been one of the most in-form players in Europe since the return from the World Cup. The 25-year-old has already scored a huge 27 goals this season – laying on nine assists.
If Gnonto is going to learn from any player in world football right now, especially with Javi Gracia encouraging his wingers to go inside allowing for overlapping full-backs to get forward – Rashford is the one to learn from, currently.
A shame, that Rashford will be missing when Gnonto and England take to the field in Naples on Thursday evening. A chance to see both on the pitch. Gnonto will be hoping that Rashford’s absence can help Italy secure a victory.
