Leeds United have had little luck when it comes to injuries in the last few years, with players regularly breaking down during the Marcelo Bielsa era and subsequently struggling to remain fit.
Patrick Bamford, Stuart Dallas, Adam Forshaw, Junior Firpo and plenty more to wear the Leeds shirt in the last few years have all had more than their fair share of injuries but this season, Leeds started injury-free.
But the last few weeks has seen Daniel Farke’s side pick up a few more. If you could predict one player to pick up an injury it would be Bamford and once again, Leeds’ no.9 finds himself on the treatment table.
Alongside Bamford, speed machine Dan James has hamstring issue that ruled him out of Wales’ games against Turkey and Montenegro during the break. Max Wober was missing against Sheffield Wednesday.

Wober now struggling with new injury after calf problem
Indeed, Austria star Wober returned to the bench against Hull but remained an unused sub with Pascal Struijk and Joe Rodon currently first choice. He played 90 minutes in Austria’s first game of the break.
A 1-1 draw with Slovenia that saw Austrian media rave about Wober. But now, a report from Austrian site Krone says Wober was missing from his nation’s loss to Norway as he is suffering with ‘knee problems’.
Whether that is simply a mistake from the Austrian outlet remains to be seen. But Wober was an unused sub having starred against Slovenia so clearly, there is an issue there that forced Ralf Rangnick’s hand.

What Wober has said during the break about role at Leeds
It has been a difficult period for Wober. Clearly, he wanted a move to Gladbach this summer but with last season’s loan club unable to meet Leeds’ £12.5m asking price, he had no choice but to stay at Leeds.
Brenden Aaronson has made an effort on and off the pitch to win back the hearts of Leeds fans but so far, Wober has done little. His only outing came in a 3-0 Carabao Cup defeat to Middlesbrough in August.
But, Wober now says Leeds are the “perfect fit” and understands why he is on the bench: “I wouldn’t change much as a coach. So I have to stand back and wait for the chance. Leeds is a perfect fit for me.
