Leeds United are reportedly set to demand £30 million for the permanent sale of Everton loan star Jack Harrison.
That is according to TeamTalk, who report that Everton are keen on signing him permanently after his season-long-loan but will have to meet Leeds’ enormous asking price in order to get a deal done.
It is said that Harrison is happy at Goodison Park and Everton’s hierarchy have a desire to extend his stay at the Toffees beyond his initial loan spell.
Amid Everton’s financial uncertainty during the summer, no option-to-buy was ever agreed between the two clubs over a deal for Harrison, which puts Leeds in a strong position, particularly if they are promoted.
Harrison only put pen-to-paper on a new five-year-deal at Elland Road in April but if Leeds were to fail to secure their return back to the Premier League, it would open the door to a sale.
Leeds set £30m asking price for Harrison
The 26-year-old reportedly has no desire to play Championship football again and so even if Everton weren’t able to meet Leeds’ £30 million asking price, it wouldn’t be a surprise if other clubs come in.
Everton are in a fight of their own to play Premier League football next season, but a good recent run of form, coupled with how poor the sides at the bottom are, make it likely they will be doing so.

Something which could aid their pursuit of Harrison is if the takeover of 777 Partners goes through in the coming weeks, with TeamTalk suggesting they are keen to show some ambition in the market.
If Leeds are to be promoted in May, it would certainly make for an interesting situation regarding the likes of Harrison, with options-to-buy not having been inserted into any of the loan deals.
Unlike the others, the ‘terrific’ Harrison has credit in the bank for what he has achieved at Leeds but at the same time, it may suit all parties if a permanent sale was agreed instead.
