Leeds United are monitoring the situation of AFC Wimbledon forward Ali Al-Hamadi.
That is according to South London Press journalist Edmund Brack, who reports that Leeds are keeping tabs on the 21-year-old, with a fee of in excess of £1 million expected to be required.
It is said that Wimbledon will set an asking price of more than what Ayoub Assal was sold for back in January earlier this year, when he moved to Qatari outfit Al-Wakrah for ‘north of £1 million’. This would be a club record fee for the Dons.
Al-Hamadi only made the move to Wimbledon in January earlier this year from Wycombe Wanderers, but has made a big impact in his brief time with the club.
In his 19 League Two appearances last season, the 21-year-old scored 10 goals in 19 appearances. He has since picked up where he left off this term, too, with four goals and five assists already.

Al-Hamadi is a centre forward who is renowned for his powerful strength and ability in the air, providing a real physical presence at the front end of the pitch for his side.
His most impressive performance of the season came back in September during a 4-1 win over Tranmere Rovers, in which he netted an impressive hattrick.
Leeds’ interest in the Iraq international is certainly an interesting one as if he was to arrive in January, it is not clear whether he would be linking up with the first team, or U21s.
Alternatively, if Leeds are that keen to bring him to Elland Road, it could be a smart decision to then loan him straight back to the Dons so he can continue to develop playing regular senior football.
He certainly appears as though he is a talented player, but whether he is what Leeds need at the moment remains to be seen.
