Leeds United confirmed the sale of Luis Sinisterra to Bournemouth on a permanent basis in a deal that will go through at the end of 23-24 – using just 18 words to confirm as much on the website.

Sinisterra, 24, has made an impressive start to life over at The Vitality Stadium after leaving Leeds on loan – using a relegation loan clause inserted in his Elland Road contract by Spanish chief Victor Orta.

After playing for Leeds at the start of the season and scoring against Ipswich in the 4-3 win, Sinisterra moved to Bournemouth on the final day of the summer window. He has since played 17 times for them.

In that time, he has had a hand in six goals – scoring three times. The Colombia star has impressed to the level that Bournemouth have decided to sign him. A deal is believed to have cost them a £20m fee.

Sinisterra’s move annoyed plenty at Elland Road, with Angus Kinnear saying Sinisterra would not be on the club’s Christmas card list. Now, Leeds have posted a statement – using 18 words to confirm his exit.

Luis Sinisterra statement speaks volumes after Leeds United exit

“Leeds United can confirm Luis Sinisterra has joined AFC Bournemouth in a permanent deal, for an undisclosed fee,” Leeds posted, on the club’s website. Nothing else, a simple one-line statement.

Compare it to Luke Ayling’s exit on loan to Middlesbrough, or Ian Poveda’s deadline-day move that saw him go to Sheffield Wednesday – the club normally delve through the player’s time at Elland Road.

But it speaks volumes about the relationship Leeds had with Sinisterra, and the frustration he caused at Elland Road in his desire to leave the club – leaving Elland Road in the final moments of the window.
