Leeds United fans loved their Monday night victory over Everton for a number of reasons, and one player’s Leicester revenge felt like the cherry on top of the cake.

Leeds beat Everton in a convincing 1 – 0 win, getting their Premier League campaign off to a flying start.

Numerous Leeds players had a great game, including Ao Tanaka, who had 79 touches and Anton Stach, who matched a record held by Raphinha.

But there was one player who truly did put on a stellar display; even Jamie Carragher praised him as the ‘best player on the pitch,’ and Leeds fans couldn’t agree more for one reason.

Leeds fans enjoyed Ethan Ampadu’s vs Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Leeds United fans were relishing Ethan Ampadu’s performance versus Kieran Dewsbury-Hall on Monday evening, with the club even teasing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall with an Instagram post after the game.

Dewsbury-Hall now plays for Everton, but once upon a time he played for Leicester, and when Leeds missed out on promotion he was one of the players that enjoyed rubbing it in Leeds’ faces.

And it appeared to look as though Ethan Ampadu, who had a great game versus Everton, had remembered with some of the tackles he was delivering.

One fan commented: “Probably one of my favourite moments of the match when he smashed him first half.”

Another said: “That tackle in the first half gave me so much satisfaction honestly.”

One fan posted: “I reckon it’s to do with that Leicester end of season party where he was singing bout Leeds. I loved that from Amps though.”

Another said: “Ampadu keeps receipts.”
