Sky Sports Transfer Centre (25/01, 4:01PM) claim that Leeds United defender Cody Drameh is set to agree Luton Town on loan until the end of the season – despite an attempt from Preston North End, and late interest from Cardiff City.
Drameh, 21, has only managed three senior appearances under Jesse Marsch this season. A start in a 5-2 loss against Brentford, a sub appearance in the 2-2 draw with Cardiff in the FA Cup – and 90 minutes in a 3-1 win over Barnsley.
It comes after starring for Cardiff on loan during the second half of last season. Drameh clocked up 22 appearances for Cardiff last season, laying on three assists. His form, despite only half the season, won him the Player of the Year award.
But he returned to Leeds and found that the club had bought Denmark international Rasmus Kristensen. The latter’s form has been poor, but Drameh has still found himself struggling for game time. Luke Ayling is currently first choice.
So, a loan is necessary. The ex-Fulham right-back is set to join Luton Town on loan until the summer. Preston had been pushing, while Cardiff are showing late interest to bring him back. But the Welsh side are currently managerless.

It is a bit of a sideways move for Drameh. Graeme Bailey reported in December that seven big clubs wanted to sign Drameh – including Premier League trio Newcastle, West Ham and Crystal Palace. Dortmund and Leipzig, also keen.
Come the summer, Drameh will enter the final 12 months of his contract and it is likely that those clubs could retain an interest in the defender. But for now, he will go out on loan to Luton and get the chance to play regular football.
