Cody Drameh could leave Leeds United in January but the player has travelled with the squad to the Valencia training camp this month – and in a training video, his assist for Crysencio Summerville earned praise from boss Jesse Marsch.
Drameh, 20, is being linked with a move next month. Graeme Bailey told TeamTalk last week that seven clubs are keen on Drameh – including Premier League clubs West Ham, Newcastle and Crystal Palace. A move abroad is a possibility.
It is a tricky situation Leeds and Drameh find themselves in. Following the signing of Rasmus Kristensen, Drameh – who is clearly a top talent – finds himself as the club’s third option at right-back. Luke Ayling is back-up to star Kristensen.
Would he be willing to wait until Ayling potentially departs next summer? It all depends come January. But Drameh is with the squad in Valencia. Leeds posted a training video on the club’s site of training in Spain, on Monday this week.
Indeed, on six minutes exactly, Sam Greenwood plays Drameh in on the right flank – and his brilliant low cross sees Summerville score. The cross from Drameh earned praise from manager Marsch, who sais “great ball”, watching on.

It is another sign that clearly, Marsch has been impressed by Drameh. But Ayling is a level above and Kristensen is even better. A World Cup player and a regular for a country like Denmark. Drameh’s exit seems more than likely at Leeds.
Does he have even a small chance of breaking into Marsch’s plans? Well, if he is to do so, he would need Ayling to go. Then, he may have the odd chance to play, as cover for Kristensen. Even then, Drameh would be lacking in game time.
