TeamTalk claim Willy Gnonto has told his agents he does not want to join Everton from Leeds United but the winger is open to a possible move to Serie A with Juventus and Atalanta – who are about to receive £72m – both interested.
Gnonto, 19, remains one of the most sought-after players in European football this summer after impressing for club and country last season – but Leeds suffering the drop. There has been plenty of interest from Everton this summer.
But a £15m bid has been rejected and Everton have instead switched attention to other targets, namely Kamaldeen Sulemana of Southampton. So, a move to Everton is out of the question with Gnonto not keen. A return to Italy, is.
The report says that Gnonto is keen on a move to his home country, having left Inter Milan to go to Zurich. It is said Juventus and Atalanta – who are set to receive a £72m fee from Manchester United for Rasmus Hojlund – are keen.

Juventus would be a wonderful move for Gnonto. The Old Lady are likely to start somewhat of a transitional period, after failing to qualify for European football – due to a points deduction. Angel Di Maria has left. A good move.
Atalanta, too. They find themselves in the Europa League, after finishing fifth in Serie A last season. Gnonto would probably have more chance of starting for the latter, especially with Hojlund going. More games to play in, too.
A move to Italy suits Leeds as well. It means we will not have to sell to a rival, and end up facing Gnonto in the future should we gain promotion. Whether Italian clubs have the cash that English clubs do, remains to be seen.
