Tyler Adams joined Bournemouth from Leeds United for a fee north of £20m, but it has been a struggle for the USA skipper since arriving at the Vitality – and there is more bad news on the horizon for Adams.
The 24-year-old initially moved to England as the midfielder and Jesse Marsch formed a reunion. While Adams initially impressed, our form went down hill and Marsch was sacked. Shortly after, Adams injured.
It saw him miss the final third of the season and the entirety of pre-season in the summer. Adams still managed to pass a medical and get himself to Bournemouth – but only after a medical failed at Chelsea.
But Adams is struggling to return to action. He managed 20 minutes for Bournemouth earlier this week in the Carabao Cup – as Bournemouth cruised past Championship side Stoke City to secure a 2-0 win.

Andoni Iraola – who was of course, linked with replacing Marsch – gave an update on Adams. Having played against Stoke, he was expected to be in the squad to take on Arsenal this weekend. A 4-0 loss.
More bad news on horizon for Tyler Adams after Leeds exit
Ben White got himself on the score sheet. But Adams was nowhere to be seen. Iraola was asked about his absence after the match and states that the USA midfielder has suffered another injury set back.
“I don’t know what to call it, a setback, but he is not feeling well. He has been out for a lot of time, so we have to reassess, to reset, to take the good decisions, thinking in everything,” Iraola told the Daily Echo.
It is true that he is going to be out for some time, for sure. I think it’s the same area. I couldn’t tell you if it’s exactly the same point, but it’s true that it’s his hamstring that he is not feeling well,” Iraola added.
