Kalvin Phillips has already made quite the impression while on international duty with England, earning his second and third cap during this international break. But he also seems to be forming a bromance with an Arsenal player.

Phillips, 24, was initially called up in the previous round of international fixtures and made his England debut in a 0-0 draw against Denmark. He has since played in the 3-0 win over Wales, and appeared as a substitute against Belgium.

In all three appearances, England have not conceded – testament to the work both on and off the ball that Phillips does. It is a position and a role that has seen him shine under the impeccable guidance of Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa.

It has seen him begin to make quite the impression on the Three Lions stage. He is being spoken about in the same breath as Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson, West Ham’s Declan Rice and Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Winks.

But it also appears that Phillips is beginning to have an impact on the England squad. Earlier this week, footage showed Phillips laughing and joking with Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish at St. George’s Park.

Now, it appears a bromance is forming with Arsenal star Bukayo Saka on Instagram. Saka posted a picture on the social media platform alongside Phillips – and the Leeds ace replied in a jokey manner, teasing Saka over using his right foot.
