Voetbal International reporter Suleyman Ozturk has compared Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville to Brighton sensation Kaoru Mitoma and previous Elland Road target Noa Lang, as per SoccerNews.nl.
Summerville, who turned 22 on Monday, has enjoyed a wonderful start to the 2023-24 season with us, having a hand in 10 goals in 11 Championship games. On Saturday, he scored two and created two more.
A player that continues to be repeatedly linked with a move back to the Premier League, as the January window hones into view. But, he looks happy and has a contract at Leeds until the summer of 2026.
Ozturk was fielding questions on the ex-Feyenoord man this week and he compared Summerville to that of Brighton’s Mitoma, who has taken the Premier League by storm. He also likened him to PSV’s Lang.

Lang has been repeatedly linked with a move to Elland Road, Dean Jones claiming last December on Give Me Sport that the player was even aware of our interest. He joined PSV in the summer for £13m.
“He has a Lang quality. That is very special to see. Summerville can also simply turn free kicks into the intersection. He reminds me a bit of Kaoru Mitoma. He really is a complete left winger,” Ozturk said.

What a player Summerville is turning out to be. Relegation is something that Leeds did not want but for a handful of players, it is getting the best out of them. Georginio Rutter, but none more than Summerville.
He, alongside Rutter, is providing the attacking heartbeat and emphasis behind our instant push to go back to the Premier League at the first attempt. Keeping him fit is key to Leeds doing that this season.
