A problem area that could arise at Leeds United this summer is in the middle of the park and if the Whites are going to bring in a signing or two, they should consider a move for Everton star Tom Davies – who is available on a free.
Leeds are already light in that area anyway, with Weston McKennie returning to Juventus after his loan. Tyler Adams is being linked with an exit, while The Athletic claim Marc Roca is ‘likely’ to make a return to his home country.
Adam Forshaw is likely to remain, but he is out of contract at the end of the month and the club will need to exercise the 12-month extension in his deal. Leeds may prefer against doing so, given his woeful injury record in recent past.
So, Leeds lack options in midfield. The club could turn to their youngsters in the likes of Darko Gyabi, Archie Gray and Lewis Bate. Sam Greenwood is more of a 10. Realistically, the club will need to make a midfield signing or two.
The club could do a whole lot worse than looking at the free agent market, with a month left. At Everton, Davies is about to see his Goodison Park contract expire – with Everton yet to renew the four-year deal he penned in 2019.

A midfielder that is renowned for being able to mix his work ethic, with his technical ability. He has clocked up 179 senior outings for the Toffees since his breakthrough into the senior side – as well as winning 23 England U21 caps.
A player that Nigel Martyn once described as “outstanding” during an interview with Goodison News, Davies is set to look for a new club. Having struggled for game time at Everton in the Premier League, Championship is an option.
So, why not join Leeds with the Whites in need of a midfielder. Either as a replacement for Adams or Roca, given he is able to do both roles. Perhaps, the ideal fit with a fellow Everton boy in Forshaw – all, on a free transfer.
