Leeds United sent scouts to watch George Hall at the weekend as he helped Birmingham City take themselves further away from danger in the Championship.

That is according to the Daily Mail, who report that Leeds are long-time admirers of the 18-year-old.

One of Victor Orta’s great successes from his time at Leeds has been the youth recruitment. A number of extremely talented young players are now in and around the first-team after arriving from elsewhere.

George Hall is a player Leeds fans have heard a lot about. And it seems that their interest has not gone anywhere.

According to the Daily Mail, Leeds sent representatives to watch Hall as Birmingham beat Blackburn Rovers 1-0 at the weekend. The result has probably all but made John Eustace’s men safe.

As reported by the Mail, Eustace described Hall’s performance as ‘awesome’. Liverpool also had scouts in attendance at St Andrew’s.

Leeds will feel that they have a reasonable chance of signing Hall. They have made big statements by landing the likes of Joe Gelhardt, Crysencio Summerville, Darko Gyabi and Diogo Monteiro in the past.

Obviously, turning Liverpool down would be difficult for Hall. Jurgen Klopp has included the likes of Stefan Bajcetic, Fabio Carvalho and Harvey Elliott in his plans this season. But the Reds will be hoping for a much better campaign next year. And that may influence just how much the young players feature beyond the summer.

There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding Leeds right now.

Of course, we still need to preserve our Premier League status. And then the club must decide who will lead us next year. And what division we are in will have an impact on that.

Hall will be in no rush to make a decision on his future. Certainly, he will want plenty of questions answered first if Leeds are one of the options on his table.
