Leeds sanction first big money exit of the summer as Fabrizio Romano says medical booked for today

Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams is set to undergo a medical in London ahead of a move to Bournemouth.

According to Fabrizio Romano, a deal could be finalised in the next 24 hours with an agreement having been reached with the Whites on a transfer.

Adams has agreed personal terms ahead of his move proposed move to the South Coast and would be Leeds’ first significant sale of the summer.

Leeds have lost a plethora of first team players already during the window, though Rodrigo is the only one to have moved on permanently for any sort of fee.

However, Leeds received just £3.5 million for his move to Qatar which has so far restricted San Francisco 49ers Enterprises from spending in the market.

Adams set for Bournemouth move as deal agreed with Leeds

As per Romano, Bournemouth have reached an agreement with Leeds over the signing of Adams, which is an interesting turn of phrase.

It was reported earlier this week that Bournemouth had activated his £20 million release clause, something which Leeds denied with Adams having been at Thorp Arch the last few days, as per the Athletic.

Both Adams and Luis Sinisterra’s release clauses expired this week, meaning it could well be that Bournemouth have thrashed out a fresh agreement on a fee with Leeds.

With Adams having only joined from Red Bull Leipzig for around £20 million last summer, this would be hugely beneficial in terms of profit and sustainability.

Hopefully Adams’ exit will be the catalyst for Leeds to press the accelerator on some incomings of their own.
