Leeds United man Adam Forshaw has only managed 47 minutes of Premier League football this season but he is clearly fit again and sharp – with the Whites posting a video of him scoring a gorgeous free-kick in Valencia on Sunday.
Forshaw, 31, has failed to play since the end of August after picking up an injury. Of course, the midfielder is renowned for his injury issues having spent two years on the sidelines with a hip issue. But he is back in training in Valencia.
Leeds have travelled to Spain to undergo a warm-weather training camp ahead of our return to action. On December 28, we face Premier League champions Manchester City. Forshaw has travelled, while a few others have missed out.
Patrick Bamford is in Munich undergoing surgery on his groin, while Junior Firpo will travel later this week. He has a groin strain. Illan Meslier and Kris Klaesson have viral infections. Leeds will take on Spanish side Elche on Thursday.
Updates are emerging on the Leeds social channels of the players from training. One clip that the club posted on Twitter was some free-kick training, and an effort from the returning Forshaw that flew into the top corner of the net.

It is a good sign. While Forshaw is not going to directly improve our options in the starting XI, it will be nice to have him back on the bench. Leeds have lacked direct cover in the middle of the park for Tyler Adams and Marc Roca of late.
Sam Greenwood has been used alongside Roca at times. But Forshaw is the kind of player that can come in and replace Adams, better than Roca and Greenwood can. He is more defensively minded, and has that solid work rate.
Does he sign a new deal with his contract expiring next summer? Potentially. But if Forshaw is to convince the Leeds board he is worthy of another year at Elland Road, then he has got to remain fit and contribute. He could face Elche.
