Diego Llorente has again, flirted at a permanent move from Leeds United to Roma this summer. In quotes published by Forza Roma, the Spaniard says he would “like” to stay at the Italian giants beyond the end of the current season.
Llorente, 29, signed a new deal at Leeds in December. But, a month later, the Spain international joined Roma on a loan-to-buy deal until the summer. AS Roma Live says Roma have a permanent option for Llorente worth £15.8m.
However, the report claimed that Roma did not want to exceed £13m to land him. Now, Forza Roma detail a new bit of information regarding Llorente. It comes after he helped his side keep a clean sheet away at Torino on Friday.
Llorente managed only his fourth outing, and his first Serie A start since joining in the previous fixture – a 3-0 win over Sampdoria. Then, on Friday, a 1-0 away win. Jose Mourinho’s men have climbed to third in the Serie A table.
They look good for Champions League qualification after two successive wins. Forza Roma quote a seven-word comment from Llorente, when asked about a permanent move to Roma, he said: “I’m fine here, I would like that.”

No surprises, let’s be honest. Roma sit third and Llorente is making a case for himself to start for Mourinho’s men indefinitely. Champions League football is potentially on the horizon and in a back three, Llorente is impressing.
The report states that Roma do not want to pay more than £9million, less than prior reports. It would be a bargain for Roma but at this stage, you would say that Leeds are unlikely to get much more for the defender. Suits all.
