Leeds United youngster Stuart McKinstry has been rewarded for his fine form out on loan, with Motherwell naming the winger as their player of the month.
McKinstry has forced his way into the starting lineup up at Fir Park. The 20-year-old has now completed 90 minutes in their last three Scottish Premiership games.

And he has vindicated the faith shown in him. McKinstry has scored twice for Well, with his first coming from a brilliant free-kick to hand his side a late lifeline against Rangers.
Stuart McKinstry named player of the month out on loan
It had been a poor month for Steven Hammell’s side. They lost five of their seven games in all competitions. But McKinstry has been a positive in those weeks.

And, as confirmed by the club on Twitter, he has now been acknowledged with the player of the month award…
It is still hard to know what the future holds for McKinstry at Leeds. The ‘excellent‘ winger was able to make a couple of appearances for the first-team last season.
However, he seemed to be one of those players in that position where he is too good for the under-21s at Thorp Arch, but not quite ready for first-team football with Jesse Marsch’s side.
It is going to be difficult for McKinstry to really catch the eye while away. Marsch has several youngsters in his ranks, with the likes of Crysencio Summerville and Willy Gnonto taking their opportunity in the most recent Premier League game.
He has definitely got a very bright future ahead, wherever that may be. And he is clearly enjoying his football back at his boyhood club.
Certainly, a few more player of the month awards are going to leave Marsch with some food for thought ahead of his return to Leeds.
