Italian outlet GIFN claim Leeds are in ‘constant talks’ to sign Italy and Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo before the end of the transfer window – with Leicester City now said to be in ‘advanced talks’ to sign Jack Harrison from Jesse Marsch’s side.
Harrison, 25, has been strongly linked with a move to Leicester. The English winger is in the final 18 months of his deal and now it appears, a move to Leicester is on the cards. That is despite a wonderful return to form throughout January.
Harrison has had a hand in five goals in his last five games, scoring a piledriver against Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup on the weekend. Leeds completed a move to sign Weston McKennie, and then Diogo Monteiro earlier today.
But it is clear Leeds are not done. GIFN say that Leicester are now quite some way along in talks to land Harrison – with the Foxes in ‘advanced talks’ for the Englishman. Leeds eye Zaniolo as a replacement for Harrison with talks ongoing.

Leeds want to sign the Italy star on loan with an option to buy. Roma want an obligation but with the deadline soon, one of the two parties have got to give. Bournemouth and Spurs have been linked. GIFN say he wanted to join Spurs.
Leeds in constant Zaniolo talks with Leicester advanced to sign Harrison
It will be a huge blow to lose Harrison. While his form is up and down, and has been down more than it has been up this season – he is capable of magic at Elland Road. Leeds would have rather kept him at Elland Road this month.
If he does go, Zaniolo would be a stunning replacement. An Italy international, he can play anywhere in attack. Out wide, up front or as a 10. He is a top-tier player. But there are issues over his injury record, and maybe, his attitude.
