Ruben Loftus-Cheek is reportedly assessing his options with England Italian clubs interested – and Leeds fans have discussed signing the Chelsea ace.
Loftus-Cheek, 25, returned to Chelsea this summer after a loan spell with Fulham. He, though, was unable to prevent Fulham suffering relegation.
He was poor at Fulham. Just one goal and no assists came in 32 games. A stark contract to his stats at Chelsea – and in the Premier League.
He has 11 goals and 10 assists in 82 Chelsea games, only 33 of which have come the starting line-up. Now, he is likely to be on the move again.
Loftus-Cheek to Leeds? What do the fans think…
Well, Leeds need a midfielder. Reports say the club are in advanced talks to land Daniel James from Manchester United – but he is hardly what we need.
Of course, we suggested earlier this means Raphinha could be moulded into a new no.10. But it would certainly make more sense to just sign a 10.
Loftus-Cheek is an England international needing game time. He needs momentum, a club to get the best out of him at a crucial point in his career.
Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds can do that. Playing him alongside Stuart Dallas as a 10, Loftus-Cheek might just shine in a Leeds side that score goals.
Here is what Leeds fans thought when presented with the idea of Loftus-Cheek in a Leeds shirt, on Twitter.
