Patrick Vieira is reportedly set to complete his first signing as Crystal Palace manager in the form of Michael Olise. The Reading sensation has caused a stir in the Championship with his excellent form in 2019-20 – and Palace are closing in on a deal. Leeds fans have reacted to Palace closing in on Olise.

Olise, 19, has been in stunning form over the past 12 months for Palace. Clocking up 46 appearances in all competitions, the London-born Frenchman scored seven goals and created 12 more – quite incredible stats for a teenager. You’ll be even more surprised at his transfer fee.

The Sun report that Olise is set to join Palace for just £8million. That is, thanks to a release clause in his current Reading deal. It is a bargain – proven by Tottenham spending £10million on Jack Clarke at a similar age. When Clarke left Leeds, he had scored two and created two in 25.

What are Leeds fans saying about Olise joining Palace?

Leeds announced a deal for Junior Firpo on Tuesday and it has seen the Whites solve their lack of left-back – after Gjanni Alioski’s exit. But Marcelo Bielsa is still in need of a midfielder that can play as an eight, but one that can also cover Stuart Dallas and Mateusz Klich. Olise is ideal.

Not only can he he play in a number of positions, but he is young, English, boasting massive resale value and a bargain at £8million. Little surprise then that Leeds fans have reacted to the news by stating they wish their club went in for him. Others just applauded Palace.
