Leeds duo named in GOAL’s XI of on-loan stars, with two Arsenal men & Manchester United ace

Leeds United have 12 players out on loan at the moment – and two have been named in GOAL’s XI of out-on-loan stars alongside Arsenal duo David Raya and Kieran Tierney, and a Manchester United man.

Victor Orta’s much-criticised relegation loan clause saw eight leave on loan – Rasmus Kristensen, Diego Llorente, Jack Harrison, Max Wober, Robin Koch, Marc Roca, Luis Sinisterra and Brenden Aaronson.

Four younger players left for game time, in the form of Sam Greenwood, Cody Drameh, Sonny Perkins and Jack Jenkins. For most of the above names, it has been a difficult start to the 2023-24 campaign.

Kristensen has been omitted from Roma’s Europa League squad. Perkins is hardly playing at Oxford United and Aaronson has been sent off for Union Berlin – without scoring, or laying on a single assist.

However, a couple of others have been in good form. Harrison scored for Everton on the weekend and Roca has been linked with a Spain National Team call-up – largely thanks to his impressive Betis form.

Two others have been excellent, too. At the back for Roma, Llorente has been consistent – with Jose Mourinho’s side suffering a number of defensive injuries. Seven games, nine conceded and an assist.

It is another defender that joins Llorente, in Koch. The Frankfurt star, who will be out of contract next summer and in effect, has left Leeds – and has played every minute of his new side’s 12 games so far.

Nine goals conceded in those 12, five clean sheets – and a goal. Impressive. So, Koch and Llorente impressing out on loan – according to Goal. They are named in an XI with some recognisable players.

Arsenal’s Raya is on loan from Brentford, while Arsenal left-back Tierney is on loan at Real Sociedad. Sofyan Amrabat is making inroads while on loan at Manchester United. All three are also named.
