Jack Harrison has put pen to paper on a new deal until the summer of 2028 at Leeds United and the winger took to Instagram to underline his delight – prompting reaction from Kalvin Phillips and a number of his Leeds teammates.
Harrison, 26, was about to enter the final 12 months of his contract at Leeds – having signed a permanent three-year deal in the summer of 2021. It came after spending the previous three years simply on loan at Elland Road.
Since the start of the season, Harrison has been linked with a number of Premier League sides. Newcastle and Tottenham were keen on a move for the uncapped Englishman, while Leicester came within an inch of getting him.
Indeed, The Telegraph report that Harrison was two hours into a medical ahead of a £22m move to Leicester – only for Leeds to pull the plug. Now, Harrison has pledged his future to Leeds and is contract at the club until he is 31.
The ex-Manchester City man took to Instagram to tell fans just how delighted he was to extend his stay at Leeds by a further four years. Having come so close to leaving, it seems now, Harrison is more determined than ever with us.

Harrison’s form since the arrival of Javi Gracia has been immense. His three goals and two assists in Gracia’s six League games in charge has been a real catalyst in seeing Leeds spring up the League table – going as high as 13th.
Clearly, Harrison is the future of this great club for the next few years and Leeds have recognised – just before it was too late, and he went to Leicester. Phillips, Junior Firpo, Luke Ayling and Cree Summerville all responded to his post.
