Jurgen Klopp has been quoted by Football Daily as saying that Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville has been giving him nightmares, after the Dutch winger scored the winner against Liverpool on Saturday night at Anfield.

With the scoreline reading 1-1 and Illan Meslier playing out of his skin, Leeds looked as though they were going to hold on to the point. But Jesse Marsch’s side went one better, inflicting Liverpool’s first loss of the season at home.

Indeed, Willy Gnonto managed to squeeze a low cross into the box. Patrick Bamford got to the ball first, before Summerville latched on to the loose ball, flicking an effort past Alisson. Leeds won for the first time in two months.

Klopp was speaking on Monday in a press conference ahead of a Champions League clash against Napoli. He said Summerville’s goal has been waking him up in the night – and it is not just because he needed to go to the toilet.

“I still woke up at night over that second goal. Oh my god. I’m 55 I go a couple of times per night on the toilet, that’s why I wake up usually but this time the goal was in my mind,” Klopp said, in a video published by Football Daily.

A moment that will live with Leeds fans forever – but a moment that will live with Liverpool boss Klopp for the wrong reasons. It was Summerville’s second goal in two games, having netted in the 3-2 defeat against Fulham late on.

So, does Summerville start against Bournemouth this weekend? Luis Sinisterra could be back, having missed out at Anfield due to a knock. Jack Harrison was also superb for Leeds on Saturday. The winger might be on the bench.
