Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett has taken to Twitter to inform Leeds fans that Jack Harrison has agreed a new deal with the club, with paperwork nearly done – a couple of months after his failed move to Leicester on deadline day.

In an interview with the Telegraph, John Percy writes that Harrison was two hours into a Leicester medical before his agent got a call from Leeds to pull the plug on a deal. Percy says a deal to take Harrison to Leicester was £22m.

But Harrison has since remained at Leeds, where he has a contract until the summer of 2024. So, what next? Well, Harrison has been on fire since the arrival of Javi Gracia – scoring three and laying on two assists in his six games.

He is showing everyone why Leeds must keep him at the club and get him to sign a new deal. So, it will come as a massive boost to Leeds fans that Dorsett has Tweeted in an exclusive that the no.11 has penned a new Leeds deal.

Indeed, he will sign the paperwork necessary to confirm a new deal in the next 24 hours before Leeds make an announcement. Dorsett says that he always wanted to stay rather than join Leicester and there is a full agreement.

A massive boost for Leeds going into the final nine League games of the season. There was a suggestion that maybe, Harrison would wait until the end of the season to find out Leeds’ fate – Premier League, or Championship.

But he has put that to bed by seemingly deciding to put pen to paper on a new deal at Elland Road. A massive sign that Leeds are going in the right direction. The news will come as a blow to the likes of Leicester and other clubs.
