Leeds United might have slipped into second place on Wednesday night with Sheffield United beating Millwall, but Josuha Guilavogui’s message to supporters would have delighted the fanbase.
Leeds picked up a 12th win and climbed to the top of the Championship thanks to goals from Wilfried Gnonto, Dan James and Brenden Aaronson on Tuesday night, seeing off the challenge of Middlesbrough.
A brilliant win, up there with the win over Chris Wilder’s side and possibly the wins at Swansea and then against Luton, given the control Leeds had in the 3-0 win against Rob Edwards’ side at Elland Road.
Leeds were only first for 24 hours as Rhian Brewster scores his first goal for a couple of years as Sheffield United secured a win in London. But, Leeds have opened up a three-point gap on second-placed Burnley.

Josuha Guilavogui’s brilliant message to Leeds fans after 3-1 win
Guilavogui of course, joined Leeds in October to ease the losses of injured duo Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev. The 34-year-old though, has instantly won the hearts of Leeds fans with his morale and big smile.
The France international is well aware he is only playing a back-up role for Leeds this season. But it is clear to see that he has already integrated himself well among the Leeds squad, celebrating with Gnonto.
Taking to X on Wednesday after the win, he said: “This club is so special! Thank you to my teammates, the staff, the fans, and everyone who makes it possible for us to share these amazing moments together.
“Pure Joy, Intense Feeling = ICONIC CLUB. WE ARE LEEDS. LUFC MOT.”
Josuha Guilavogui continues incredible stat with Tuesday outing
Tuesday’s win saw Guilavogui come off the bench to clock up his sixth Leeds outing. He replaced on-loan Joe Rothwell in the 94th minute, helping Leeds see out the final moments of the game after the third.
Josuha Guilavogui’s six appearances for Leeds:
| Opponent | Result | Minutes played | Player replaced |
| Plymouth | 3-0 win | 16 | Joe Rothwell |
| QPR | 2-0 win | 6 | Joe Rothwell |
| Swansea | 4-3 win | 7 | Joe Rothwell |
| Luton | 3-0 win | 7 | Joe Rothwell |
| Derby | 2-0 win | 6 | Joe Rothwell |
| Middlesbrough | 3-1 win | 3 | Joe Rothwell |
Incredibly, Leeds have won all six games that Guilavogui has played in. The Frenchman is yet to start for Leeds but Daniel Farke may decide to start the veteran ace in the FA Cup third round against Harrogate.
But for now, Guilavogui will continue to warm the bench with Ethan Ampadu back from injury. His main job will be to continue to aid the development of young players and continue to boost Leeds morale.
