Jesse Marsch has told Thursday’s press conference – as per the club’s YouTube – that six Leeds United players could be absent through injury when the Whites face League One side Accrington Stanley in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Marsch will be looking to smoothly win a place in the hat for the fifth round of the FA Cup on Saturday. Leeds will be favourites to win the match, which is being broadcasted on BBC Sport. However, Leeds have had giant killings recently.
Sutton United and Histon are names that spring to mind, in recent history. But Accrington are struggling in the third tier, sitting in 20th place. However, they are in the fourth round of the Cup, after beating Boreham Wood on Tuesday.
Marsch previewed the clash, relaying injury news before taking questions from reporters. He said that six players could miss Saturday’s outing, in Liam Cooper, Archie Gray, Adam Forshaw, Tyler Adams, Cree Summerville and Stuart Dallas.
“Adam, Archie still out. Archie active on the pitch. Adam feeling better. Cree should be better for next week. Dallas still injured. Coops and Tyler Adams are a little bit questionable, but those will be a matchday decision,” Marsch said.

Marsch: Six Leeds players could be absent facing Accrington Stanley
It is a massive concern that Adams, arguably our best player, may be missing. Leeds will want to get the job done on Saturday and avoid another replace – and of course, a giant killing. Including Adams would have been important.
Especially, with Forshaw and Gray both on the sidelines through injury, too. Leeds are lacking options in the middle of the park. It means that Marc Roca is more than likely to start, as is Sam Greenwood and even Darko Gyabi, in midfield.
But Leeds are not as good without Adams. It was proven by Marsch selecting him in the third-round replay at Elland Road. Of course, if he is a doubt, Leeds should rest him but if he is anything above 90%, he has got to start for Leeds.
