Jesse Marsch has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Leeds United’s defeat to Arsenal on Sunday, insisting that the side is getting better and that the squad has his full faith.

It is still hard to come to terms with the fact that we are not celebrating a better result after the weekend. Leeds produced one of their best performances of the season against the Premier League leaders.

They went behind in the first-half after a really poor mistake from Rodrigo. But they could not have done more to get back into the game after the break.

Leeds were scintillating in an electric Elland Road atmosphere. Patrick Bamford’s disallowed goal right at the start of the half whetted the appetite for what was to come.

Bamford would go on to have a few big chances, including, of course, that penalty. And he was not the only player to miss superb opportunities.

There is a feeling of pride in being the team to push Arsenal to the brink in a way they have not experienced this season. And Marsch deserves huge credit for getting the tactics absolutely spot on.

Unfortunately, the facts are that Leeds are now on a run of six games without a win. And they are edging closer and closer to the relegation zone.

Marsch has now taken to Twitter to react to the result. And clearly, he is extremely optimistic that Leeds will turn their form around…

The problem Leeds potentially face is that not every side is going to show the same intent as Arsenal. Against Chelsea, it was exactly the same.

The problems have come against the sides lower down the table. It is now imperative that we get at least one win against either Leicester or Fulham. And at least four points should be the target.

Should Leeds play like they did on Sunday, that shouldn’t be a problem.
