Jesse Marsch has broken his silence almost two months after being sacked as Leeds United manager in February – with two posts on Twitter on Friday afternoon in which he says he will look back on his time as boss with “pride”.
Marsch, 49, was sacked by the Leeds board only a few days after the club sanctioned a move for American star Weston McKennie – with Marsch likely to be a contributing factor. He left after a 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest.
Since then, Marsch has kept quiet on his exit from the club. Javi Gracia has since come in as manager, starring in the role. He has picked up seven points from a possible 12, including wins over Southampton and then Wolves.
Marsch, meanwhile, is yet to take a new job despite coming close the Southampton role. Had he taken the Saints job, it would have seen him come to Elland Road that Saturday. He did not, and Leeds secured a 1-0 victory.
Marsch has also been linked with the USA job after Gregg Berhalter left. A move which he has spoken about in the past as something he dreams of doing. But for now, Marsch has taken to Twitter for the first time since his sacking.

Ultimately, Gracia’s start to life and his style of play is proof that Leeds are better off with a more-pragmatic man in charge. He has shown the Leeds squad can still score goals, but defend with more organisation than under Marsch.
Marsch had highs. Keeping Leeds up, huge wins over Liverpool, Chelsea, reuniting with stars he had worked with in the past – Tyler Adams, Rasmus Kristensen, Brenden Aaronson and Max Wober. But his exit was the right move.
