Jermaine Jenas has told BT Sport he expects a couple of bids to be made for Leeds United duo Rodrigo and Jack Harrison this summer – suggesting that Premier League clubs may only want to sign those two from this Leeds side.

Rodrigo finished the season as the club’s top scorer. Ironically, in what was his best season since joining the club after promotion to the Premier League, Leeds have gone down. The Spain ace clocked up an impressive 15 goals.

Harrison, meanwhile, signed a new five-year deal with Leeds a couple of months ago. But, the ex-Manchester City talent is said to have included a relegation release clause in his contract. It means an exit is likely for our number 11.

He clocked up 40 outings for Leeds this season, having a hand in an impressive 16 goals – scoring his sixth against Spurs on Sunday. Jenas says he expects bids to be made for Rodrigo and Harrison, but wouldn’t take anyone else.

“There’s no doubt it, you’d only want a couple of players you’d want to pluck from this group. Jack Harrison is one, Rodrigo is the other. I’m sure there’ll be a few cheeky bids coming in,” Jenas said on BT Sport, during commentary.

There will be many players leaving Leeds this summer. While Rodrigo and Harrison – Harrison, especially – drawing interest from Premier League sides, many of our squad will likely go to European clubs. Willy Gnonto, for example.

Illan Meslier, Robin Koch, Marc Roca, Luis Sinisterra and plenty of others have attracted interest in the event of the drop. Rodrigo and Harrison are likely to be sold, but they will not be the only ones that leave in the coming months.
