Leeds United have reportedly been scouting Besiktas attacker Jeremain Lens – and he could be the final cog in Marcelo Bielsa’s promotion chain.

Turkish outlet Fotomac claim Leeds scouts were in attendance during Besiktas’ 3-2 win over Sarpsborg last Thursday. Besiktas came from behind to claim three Europa League points, thanks to a brace from Lens.

The ex-Sunderland attacker has been in decent form for the Turkish giants this season. Indeed, he has scored five goals and created six more just this season since completing a permanent move to Besiktas in the summer.

Lens boasts huge speed, unmatchable power and an eye for goal that has seen him score for every club he has played for. Indeed, Lens has scored for PSV, Dynamo Kiev, Fenerbahce, AZ Alkmaar and more.

Judging by the player’s calibre and stature, it is clear to see that he would simply be a fantastic signing. He has the ability to excite and surprise the Elland Road terraces.

Plus, his power is ready-made for the Championship, and would give Bielsa another option. Out wide, Leeds boast Pablo Hernandez, Jack Clarke, Jack Harrison and Gjanni Alioski, but none are known for their strength.

Now, Bielsa wants to add the winger to his Leeds side and the report claims fans can expect a bid. He has a contract at Besiktas until the summer of 2022 – but they should do whatever it takes to sign Lens.
