Luke Ayling has told Sky Sports – as per Football Daily – that Leeds United fans have got to remain calm and trust the process, despite the club’s fourth successive Premier League defeat – after Sunday’s loss to Fulham at Elland Road.
Leeds are now winless in eight Premier League matches, slipping into the relegation zone after 11 league games. That is, despite Rodrigo opening the scoring with a header – his fifth League goal of the season on Sunday, in Yorkshire.
But Fulham came roaring back. Aleksandar Mitrovic made it 1-1 before half-time. Then, Bobby Decordova-Reid scored a well-placed header to put Fulham 2-1 up. Any hope of getting a point from the game ended on 84 minutes.
Great work from Harrison Reed saw the midfielder pull the ball back to Willian to slide home. Crysencio Summerville got a late consolation. Speaking to media immediately after the loss, Ayling told fans to “stay calm” despite the form.
“Stay calm. I know it’s hard to say that. We’re only 10, 11 games into a season. We’ve been in much worse positions in the league. There’s a long way to go, stay calm and stay with us,” Ayling told Football Daily, after the narrow 3-2 loss.

While Ayling is right and Leeds fans have got to keep backing their beleaguered side, there is only so much we can take. Leeds are miles off it. Players do not seem like they are able to cope with the standard of the Premier League.
His tactical nous, his radical changes with the pressure seemingly getting to him, Marsch is not coping well. Fans believe it is time to go for the ex-Leipzig boss. Whether there is an announcement soon, we will have to wait and see.
