Aston Villa remain keen on Leeds United star Tyler Adams but a report from SPORT says Jude Bellingham has pushed ex-Arsenal man Dani Ceballos down the pecking order, tempting Villa – and that could help us keep Adams.
So, Villa want Adams. The Mail claim on Wednesday that Villa are waiting to hear from Adams before activating the £25m exit clause in his contract. But nothing has materialised as of yet. Meanwhile, Villa also want to sign Ceballos.
Bellingham has arrived at Real Madrid and has pushed Madrid star Ceballos down the pecking order. The Spain ace was only a fringe player anyway, under boss Carlo Ancelotti. SPORT say Villa are preparing a ‘firm offer’ to sign him.

With Bellingham on board at Ancelotti’s side, Ceballos is likely to be open to a move and considering his options this summer. The SPORT report states that Villa could sign him. Villa have already brought in Youri Tielemans in midfield.
So, Ceballos is likely to be keen on a Villa move – European football, and a reunion with Emery, his ex-Arsenal boss. You would imagine that Villa will only be in the market for one midfielder, having brought in Belgian ace Tielemans.
Villa keen on Leeds star Adams but Bellingham may help us keep him
Emery’s side already have a number of options. Tielemans, Douglas Luiz, John McGinn, Aaron Ramsey, Leander Dendoncker, Boubacar Kamara and attacking midfielders Philippe Coutinho and Emi Buendia. Strength in depth.

One midfielder needed, not two. With Adams yet to respond and Ceballos falling down the rankings and therefore keen to go, as SPORT states, surely – Bellingham’s move to Madrid would aid Villa signing Ceballos. Adams stays.
Of course, Villa are not the only club interested in Adams – but they are certainly the side that have been linked more than most, throughout the summer. Chelsea this week. But Villa throughout. Bellingham could help Leeds.
