Hull City are one of the Championship sides interested in signing Joe Gelhardt on loan during the January transfer window, while Huddersfield are also admirers of the Leeds United youngster.
That is according to a report from The Sun on Sunday (10/12; page 55), which claims that the striker could leave Elland Road temporarily next month.
Joe Gelhardt has only had a handful of minutes under Daniel Farke. And he has not featured at all since mid-September. In fact, his appearance on the bench against Blackburn on Saturday was his first in more than two months.

And that appears to have alerted some of our Championship rivals.
The Sun on Sunday reports that Liam Rosenior wants Gelhardt at Hull, with the Tigers leading the race. Meanwhile, Huddersfield are also keen on the youngster.
The report does note that Gelhardt would command top wages, and Leeds would want assurances over game-time.
Leeds reluctant to let striker go
It must be noted that The Athletic has reported that Daniel Farke has already decided that Gelhardt will remain at Leeds for the second-half of the campaign. So his stance may have to soften quite considerably if any side is going to be able to sign the striker.
It may surprise some that Farke wants Gelhardt to stay. Unfortunately, he appears to be well down the pecking order right now. And it was perhaps significant that Mateo Joseph came on ahead of him against Blackburn on Saturday.
Gelhardt struggled out on loan at Sunderland last year after an injury to Ross Stewart forced the former Wigan man to predominantly play up front on his own.
So Leeds may be wary of sending Gelhardt on another loan which is not beneficial. They may also be covering all bases in case we lose several players to injury.
But with Gelhardt really struggling for minutes right now, much may perhaps come down to his own stance on the situation with a queue starting to form.
