Rasmus Kristensen scored his first goal for Leeds United on Saturday afternoon having come off the bench just a few moments beforehand – and Willy Gnonto hilariously celebrated with the Dane in the Wolves tunnel after full-time.
With Leeds leading 2-0 but Wolves having plenty of the play, Javi Gracia made a defensive change. He chose to bring on Kristensen on the right flank, in front of Luke Ayling. He replaced Willy Gnonto, who was visibly disappointed.
Gnonto had every right to be disappointed. It was his first League start since Gracia’s first game against Southampton, having been reduced to substitute outings against Chelsea and Brighton. But, he started against Wolves on Saturday.
An assist for Jack Harrison, too. He was replaced by Kristensen who within seconds, put Leeds 3-0 up with a brilliant solo goal – winning the ball back and nutmegging Jose Sa. Following the game, Gnonto celebrated with Kristensen.
The three points in the bag and Leeds climbing to 14th, the Leeds players were delighted. YEP reporter Joe Donnohue posted some footage on Twitter from inside the tunnel – in which Gnonto is hilariously pulling and pushing Kristensen.

Clearly, any disappointment Gnonto had been feeling quickly ended when Kristensen won the ball back from Jonny through pure perseverance before, going past Max Kilman and lashing his shot under Sa. A brilliant goal, his first.
It will do Kristensen the world of good after a disappointing week in which he was left out of Denmark’s National Team. Hardly surprising given his lack of minutes for Leeds. Luke Ayling has been excellent, becoming first choice again.
But Gracia has been impressed with the ex-Salzburg man since his arrival. Surprisingly, Kristensen has been used as a winger, and at centre-back during Gracia’s tenure but is actually yet to be used in his natural position at right-back.
