Leeds United take on West Ham United in a must-win Premier League fixture this week.
The mood around Leeds United took a sour turn on Saturday when they suffered a listless defeat to fellow newly-promoted side Burnley.
A defeat is one thing, but Daniel Farke’s side never really looked like winning against a direct Premier League relegation rival, lacking any cutting edge in attack.
Leeds slipped down a place in the Premier League table as a result and are now just a point above Burnley, making Friday’s fixture against another relegation contender in West Ham United absolutely vital.
West Ham have just four points after a horrendous start to the campaign and failure to win could be a disaster for Farke.

Leeds United vs West Ham United team news
Leeds were glad to see Dan James return to action off the bench on Saturday and will be hoping he’s fit enough to play over the misfiring Brenden Aaronson.
Lucas Perri was also back on the bench after injury issues and will surely replace Karl Darlow after he didn’t cover himself in glory for either of Burnley’s goals.
Farke will also be keeping everything crossed to have Noah Okafor and Willy Gnonto back available.
West Ham, meanwhile, will be without Niclas Fullkrug and George Earthy.

Prediction
Leeds may have lost to Burnley on Saturday but Scott Parker’s side have taken well to the Premier League, despite their low points tally, and have competed fiercely against some tough opposition in their opening fixtures.
In contrast, West Ham have been appalling and are yet to win under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
The Hammers were comfortably beaten at home by Brentford on Monday night (with the short gap until Friday giving them another disadvantage) and lack much quality outside of Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville.
With a rowdy home crowd cheering them on under the lights, Leeds should be able to win this one.
Prediction: Leeds 2-0 West Ham.
